Help support our vital work in 2019 and beyond

We need to raise over £70,000 a year to support our vital work, so any amount you can give-  large or small-  is hugely valued. Your money will go directly towards helping us run core services, including emergency funding for destitute asylum seekers, and access to legal advice. SWVG is a highly effective charity (charity number 1103093) operating in the Southampton and Winchester area. You can learn more about our work and find our how you could get involved here.

Your donations keep SWVG doing life changing work for asylum seekers and refugees in the community. Most of this is done by volunteers, offering up their time and talents to keep our overheads as low as possible.

SWVG provides support across a wide range of areas: from providing enrichment to the lives of asylum seekers during a difficult and hard period of adjusting to life in the UK; campaigning and raising awareness of the issues affecting them and providing practical support, financial assistance and accommodation for those on the brink of crisis. You can read about the stories of some of those we help.

SWVG works directly with those who need help, with over 40 trained volunteers engaged in our core work of weekly one-to-one befriending and support to local asylum seekers and refugees.

Please take a moment to donate to us today and help change a life.
