British Red Cross HampshireT: 0845 9547 222 – Based in Portsmouth, this provides a welcome service for refugees and asylum seekers arriving in Hampshire, as part of an international charity with a mission to help people in crisis.
CLEAR – City Life Education and Action for RefugeesT: 023 8022 111 – Founded in 2001 in response to new Government dispersal policies, this Southampton-based church project offers advice services, courses including English language tuition, social activities and a work club.
City of Sanctuary Southampton – A group working to ensure the city’s communities offer a warm and welcoming place for refugees and asylum seekers, through practical support projects and by organising events and publicity.
Southampton Action – A charity focused on practical people-to-people support for refugees in Southampton and elsewhere, including camps across Europe.
