The Storehouse

Adult clothing for men + women, children’s clothes up to 16, shoes, toiletries, buggies, cots, bedding, high chairs, toys, books, nappies, stair gates, baby and child car seats (with a disclaimer). It may depend on what is available at the time. The list of donations they want is updated each week. Encourage reuse of outgrown children’s clothes.
Tell ginny@allain.me.uk or chris@allain.me.uk the first name of the parent and child, age of the child, gender, clothes size and type of clothes required and she will email the Storehouse, arrange to pick up items and bring them to AMC.
Alternatively, SWVG visitors/teachers can make an appointment online to visit the Storehouse (with or without the parent and child). Open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10-12 term time. Tell the Strehouse that you are from SWVG. Please check with Ginny or Chris Allain first.
A Toy Fair is held in November/ December – SWVG can nominate some families to go and choose a new toy, one book, a clean soft toy, any second-hand stuff.

They offer clothes and equipment for 0-5 year olds. SWVG visitors should complete a referral form on BN’s website. BN also try to provide birthday presents for children up to age 12 which visitors would need to collect.
They accept donations on Tuesdays and Fridays 10-1pm – see their Facebook for what require.
Scratch
offer toys at Christmas to those whom SWVG supports. Lynda Abenchiker deals with this in October.
SCM Basics bank in Southampton
Each visitor needs to become a referral agent and can then ask for 2 vouchers for food and 2 for clothing every year per client.

School uniforms
Order June-July from The Storehouse at Vineyard Church. A proforma is issued for each family. Precise colours are needed – 2 trousers, 1 sweatshirt, 2 polos, 1 skirt. SWVG collects the items for families from the Storehouse and brings them to AMC.
Apply for secondary school uniform via SWVG Administrator in mid-July from Wulfris Educational Foundation in Eastleigh. Only one application can be made per child per year. The applicant needs to write a few lines about why they need support, the visitor/teachers writes a detailed explanation. The trustees meet three times a year so mid-year applications can be considered. The Trust offers a voucher for Skoolkit or Wearabouts School wear shop.
